Jeff Cohen is CEO and Founder of the Rock Companies, which includes the following family of companies:

Rock Construction Company, Inc., Rock Equities LLC and Rock Management LLC. Rock Construction is a builder and developer that was founded in 1991 and has principal offices in Detroit, Michigan. With its affiliates, the company has developed, built and managed numerous commercial and residential projects including offices, custom homes, condominiums, apartment communities and arenas. Rock Construction is a licensed Michigan residential builder, a member of the Michigan Association of Home Builders, and licensed Michigan real estate broker. 

Rock Equities was formed in 2001 as a vehicle for pursuing real estate investment opportunities. Its holdings have included properties in Florida, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington State, and Ohio. Rock Equities has over $1 billion in transactions since its inception. Rock Management is a property management company that manages many of the Rock Companies, holdings, particularly its properties in Southeastern Michigan, Metropolitan Orlando, North Carolina, and Southeast Ohio. Rock Management currently manages over 3,000 residential units, Quicken Loans Arena (The "Q") and the Cleveland Clinic Courts. 

In June 2002, Jeff was part of a small group of investors that purchased Quicken Loans Inc. (which today consists of Quicken Loans, Rock Financial and Title Source) from Intuit Inc. Quicken Loans closed a record $220 billion in home loans in 2013. Detroit based Quicken Loans employs more than 15,000 people nationally and earned the highest ratings for customer satisfaction among all U.S. home loan lenders in a study by J.D. Power and Associates in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

In 2005, Jeff was part of an investor group that acquired the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association, becoming its vice chairman in 2009. In addition, he is a Minority Owner in the NBA Development League's Canton Charge, the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters, and Fathead, the leader in sports and entertainment graphics. Jeff is a principal of JACK Entertainment LLC, formed to bring first-class casino gaming to Ohio. JACK Entertainment has casinos in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit. The company also developed an urban casino in downtown Baltimore, which opened in 2014. JACK Entertainment also owns Cleveland-area thoroughbred racetrack Thistledown, which opened as a racino in April 2013, as well as Turfway Park, a thoroughbred horseracing track located in northern Kentucky. 

Jeff serves on the Board of Directors of JACK Entertainment; is also an investor in Caesars Interactive Entertainment Inc., a Montreal-based online, mobile and social gaming subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment. Jeff is a principal of Athens Acquisition LLC, which acquired a majority interest in Detroit's Jack Entertainment Greektown Casino-Hotel in April of 2013. Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors for Greektown Casino-Hotel. 

Jeff is a principal of Bedrock Real Estate Services of Detroit which owns 80+ properties in downtown Detroit totaling more than 15 million square feet. 

Jeff is the former President of JARC Properties, a non-profit organization providing housing and services to the developmentally disabled, and has served on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. He has also been active in the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation as well as various other charitable organizations.

Steve brings over 20 years experience in real estate development, construction and management.

Within Rock Companies, Steve has leadership responsibility for operations, acquisitions, underwriting and finance, and manages the establishment and implementation of governing policies and procedures companywide. In addition, he maintains functional responsibility for monitoring company budgets, cost management and top line revenue growth. 

Steve's professional memberships include the National Apartment Association and National Association of Home Builders, and he is an elected Franklin Village Council Trustee. Steve has a strong commitment to community affairs, serving on the board of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, an active participant in the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and a board member of the Franklin Baseball Organization.

Amy has approximately 20 years of experience in the multifamily industry.

Starting in sales and marketing, she has served in positions as Regional Property Manager, Vice President, and Director of Property Management. Amy has a diverse background within this industry, covering several states and overseeing low-income/tax credit properties, conventional properties, luxury living, luxury assisted living, condominium association management, and student housing. As Director of Property Management, Amy oversees a portfolio of multifamily assets for Rock Management. She works closely with all levels of the organization including partners, accounting, human resources, etc. to manage daily operations for Rock Management with a concentrated focus on maximizing the profitability of the assets through the implementation of creative marketing strategies, the development of high-quality onsite teams and the monitoring of quality control procedures. Amy is entrenched in local apartment associations as well as the National Apartment Association. She has held her Certified Apartment Manager (CAM®) designation and has taught this class to others within the industry. Amy has also held her Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®), and she currently holds the esteemed Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation through IREM®.

William (Bill) D. Leonard, Jr., CPA, MBA

Bill joined Rock Companies in 2016 as Vice President – Finance. He has more than 23 years of experience in finance, accounting and real estate development at both large public and private companies.

Most recently, Bill worked for a downtown Detroit development company. He served a main role on the project team accumulating land, securing financing and building the City’s new hockey arena.

At Rock Companies, Bill oversees the finance and accounting functions, which include financial reporting, budgeting, construction accounting, financing and management of property accounting staff members.

Bill is a registered CPA in the State of Michigan. He is a proud double graduate of the University of Michigan, earning both his BBA in Accounting and MBA in Finance from the Ross School of Business.

An active member in his hometown, Bill serves as Treasurer of both the Grosse Pointe Farms-City Little League baseball program and the Dugout Club at Grosse Pointe South High School. He also coaches baseball and basketball.

A graduate of Indiana University, Laura joined Rock Management in 2016, as the Director of Sales and Marketing.  Laura started her career in Luxury and Tax Credit Senior Living Sales, Marketing, Training, Operations and Management. She has held positions in both Operations and Marketing as a Regional Vice President, successfully leading the start up management and leasing of numerous communities from construction to full operation.  Over the past 10 years, Laura has focused her leadership skills in conventional multi-family marketing, sales, training and management.  Laura has significant experience and expertise working through, receiverships and quick property turnaround delivering key results including lease up of market rate, luxury and student housing properties.  Laura holds designation as a CPM (Certified Property Manager) through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Fred oversees the Human Resources functions which includes recruitment, payroll, benefit administration, team member relations and policy administration. Prior to joining Rock Companies, Fred worked for a leading payroll processing company, along with Human Resource roles in transportation, financial and retail stores. 
Fred attended the University of Detroit Mercy and currently holds certification as a Senior Professional of Human Resources SPHR through the HR Certification Institute.
